Welcome to SDSU's chapter of NSSLHA!
Thank you for you interest in San Diego State University's chapter of the National Student Speech Language & Hearing Association. We are a pre-professional organization for students interested in speech-language pathology, audiology, and communication sciences. Through NSSLHA, members can connect with fellow students, faculty, and professionals while exploring career opportunities, expanding their knowledge, and becoming more involved! Each semester we will have guest speakers, service events, and fundraisers to support the Speech-Language Clinic and other clinical programs at SDSU.

Why Should I Join?
As a member of the NSSLHA chapter at SDSU, you will be able to:

How Do I Get Involved?
Get involved in our SLHS community by becoming a member! Check out the Membership page for specifics on membership routes, the point system, and other requirements. Then make sure to mark your calendar for our next meeting!
If scheduling conflicts prevent you from joining us, you can still work toward membership by attending other events, volunteering, participating in fundraisers, and taking advantage of additional opportunities throughout the year!
Our Mission Statement
At SDSU NSSLHA, we commit to fostering an accommodating, welcoming, and inclusive community rooted in friendship and respect. We will develop and nourish a group of empowered and culturally responsive individuals. Through community outreach we will increase awareness of the field, advocate for SLHS related populations, and support a future of empathetic professionals.
